![]() ![]() This entire mindset and narrative is depressing, and incredibly toxic, jeez. If Wayforward wants to release another game after this, why would Nintendo refuse? It's free money with very little work on their part. What happens if the game releases on Switch, suddenly sells 20 million copies because the platform is better suited for it and new audiences are there, are they also going to not make any more AW games ever again because they had to delay it for a year?Īlso, this is basically Wayforward making the game, and Nintendo producing. I guess I'll give it a try and hope it's good, but so far both Tiny Metal and Wargroove failed to sate that itch. I'm pretty sure by that metric a bunch of other Nintendo franchises would have been put to rest ages ago. I am more worried people actually expect something like a terrible terrorist attack or a high media coverage war to happen often enough you can't launch an Advance Wars game ever again. Out of five games, two of them, two decades apart, had very understandable issues as to when they were launching. It has not been a liability consistently, for frick's sake. The other, the fact the war is still a thing, and still very present on media. Especially since it could lead to a reboot of the series! Heck, it's likely a big factor on it still being unreleased is the fact they'd have had to delay another game that already had a "month" this year. And very likely, with a month for itself as most Nintendo releases. ![]() ![]() The specific reason they don't release it is because they definitely want to give it a fair launch, with marketing and everything. ![]()
